The company that got the ball rolling on Google’s Android platform with the original G1 is saying that it’s not anywhere near done yet. In a Wall Street Journal article published Tuesday, HTC CEO Peter Chou indicated the company would be good for at least three new Android phones this year.
The company already unveiled the HTC Magic in February, which will be its sophomore effort, likely to reach the European market in spring. That means there are two more on the way, some of which Chou indicated may be “second-generation” Android phones. The rest likely lie in HTC’s leaked roadmap of future phones, which includes photos of prototype models.
