BenQ Announces 23-inch Widescreen LCD

BenQ introduced its new BenQ FP231W large-screen LCD monitor that features a 23-inch screen, high brightness and contrast levels, as well as 16ms response time and a 16:9 aspect ratio. Designed for multiple applications, from video viewing and playing video games to word processing and other office work, the BenQ FP231W comes equipped with four USB ports, as well as D-Sub, DVI-D, S-Video and Composite video inputs.

The BenQ FP231W has a resolution of 1920 x 1200, contrast ratio of 500:1 and brightness of 250 cd/m2. With its 16ms response time, wide viewing angles (176/176 degrees H/V) and a full 16.7-million color palette, the FP231W is able to display exceptionally crisp and vivid images. It also comes with an optional 4W x 2 speaker attachment and optional web cam.

Dell introduces LCD TV

The Dell W1700 17″ LCD TV enables customers to watch television or DVDs, play video games, and use computer systems applications on one device by combining a traditional flat panel monitor and television tuner. It will be available in the United States and Canada on Oct. 28 for $699.
