WinBook LX Notebook For $699

The new WinBook LX features Intel Celeron M processor C350 (1.3 GHz, 400 MHz FSB, 512k Cache), widescreen 12.1-inch WXGA (1,280 x 800), and Linspire 4.5 operating system ($798 with Microsoft WindowsXP Home – see table). WinBook also introduced the $899 WinBook X510, WinBook’s lowest-priced model with Intel Centrino Mobile Technology.

“Until now, consumers have had to pay a premium for notebooks designed to be light enough for true road warriors,” said Dan Burns, WinBook president. “The WinBook LX and lower-priced WinBook X models change the equation by making our smallest, lightest notebooks our most affordable notebooks yet.”

Windbook Intros $999 Media Center PC

WinBook has priced the $999 PowerSpec MCE 410 more than 40% less than a comparably-equipped Alienware DHS-2 Media Center PC, while the HDTV-ready $999 PowerSpec LCD-HDTV 30-inch model is priced 50% less than a HDTV-ready Dell W3000 30-inch LCD-TV, and more than 70% less than a Sony KVL-32M1 30-inch LCD-HDTV

The PowerSpec MCE 410 is a complete all-in-one digital entertainment center that allows customers to easily enjoy all of their digital content.   The PowerSpec MCE 410 is styled to resemble other entertainment gear and lets users:

WinBook Reveals WinBook W362

The launching of the $1,899 WinBook W362 marks the appearance of an impressive new level of functionality in WinBook’s widescreen notebooks.  WinBook W362 models feature enhanced graphics with the ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 GPU and quicker performance from the Intel Pentium-M processor 755 (2.0 GHz, 2 MB L2 Cache, 400 MHz FSB). 

WinBook also is introducing the $1,399 WinBook W322 model with Intel Pentium-M 725 (1.6 GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 400MHz FSB).  Both new models will be shipping in time for holiday deliveries.WinBook W362 models make creating DVDs, CDs and MP3s is easy with the standard DVD/+R/RW.  Gaming and DVD playback are enhanced by the standard 15.4-inch WXGA (1,280 x 800) widescreen LCD and ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 graphics with 64 MB video RAM. 

WinBook Launches C Series Notebooks

Better performance, lighter weight and enhanced ergonomics – these were the objectives laid down when developing the new WinBook C series. The new range features Intel Centrino Mobile Technology with the enhanced performance of the Pentium-M Processor 725 (1.6 GHz), and is also offered with the Intel Celeron-M Processor 330 (1.4 GHz).

“Even with higher performance levels, WinBook has made the new WinBook C series significantly more affordable,” said Dan Burns, WinBook president. “In fact, prices start at a ground-breaking $899, over 35 percent less than the previous WinBook C. The new WinBook C series has all of the outstanding attributes associated with WinBook products, yet offers a lower-cost entry point to the world of WinBook.”
