“Barely bigger than a 50 pence piece (1.7 x 1.7-inches), Panasonic’s new D-Snap MP3 player is a serious tiddler. Two versions will initially launch in Japan on 8 April 2005, both featuring SD card-based storage. The pricier SV-SD100V model (18,000 yen / £90) sits pretty with an FM radio and voice recorder, whereas the SV-SD90 (14,000 yen / £70) is a bare-bones MP3 offering.
Both house a crisp OLED and support most audio files, including iTunes’ file format of choice, AAC. Panasonic has yet to be pinned down regarding a release date or price for the D-Snap MP3 player in Europe, however both models are expected to sail our way by summer.
