Onkyo Launches LS-V955 Home Theater System

The LS-V955 system consists of a one-piece integrated 40-Watt per channel surround receiver and progressive-scan DVD player, 150-Watt powered subwoofer, and five stylish aluminum speakers designed tocomplement any video display.

The Onkyo LS-V955’s elegant one-piece DVD receiver features progressive-scan component video as well as composite and S-video, and standard A/V outputs for optimum compatibility with existing televisions. Onkyo introduces TX-NR801 A/V receiver

Onkyo has announced immediate dealer shipments of its TX-NR801 Net-Tuneâ„¢ home theater receiver, which was first shown to the press in prototype form at CEDIA Expo in September. This is Onkyo’s secondfull-featured home theater receiver with Net-Tune technology for access to digital music files over a home PC network, however its $1000 price is $500 less than the earlier Onkyo TX-NR900 Net-Tunereceiver.

The Onkyo TX-NR801 is a seven-channel, 100-Watt THX Select audio/video receiver with all major home theater surround sound processing formats, plus Onkyo’s unique Net-Tuneâ„¢ distributed audio technology for the seamless integration of high quality audio with a home computer network. Other features include include 192 kHz/24-bit audio DAC’s for superior audio reproduction, HDTV capable component video switching, and Onkyo’s Powered Zone 2 capability, making it the centerpiece for an exceptional multiroom home entertainment system.
