Sirius Picks Up a Rolls-Royce Ride

Sirius Satellite Radio and luxury car maker Rolls-Royce today announced an exclusive partnership in which Sirius equipped radios will become standard equipment in all Rolls-Royce vehicles sold in the United States. Terms of the deal were not announced.

As part of the standard package which comes in all Rolls-Royce vehicles, Sirius said, owners will receive a lifetime subscription to the satellite radio service.

“Rolls-Royce is synonymous with the highest level of luxury, performance and quality in the automotive world,” said Doug Wilsterman, Senior Vice President and General Manager Automotive OEM for Sirius. “The unique programming that we offer is a natural complement to the unparalleled in-vehicle environment of a Rolls-Royce, and we are very excited about being associated with such an internationally recognized brand.”

Sirius Available in Toyota/Scion Vehicles

Beginning this month, SIRIUS will be available in the following 2005 Toyota models:

·         Toyota Camry

·         Toyota (2005 and 2006) Solara and Solara Convertible

·         Scion xA

·         Scion xB

·         Scion tC

Sirius Radio Available In Mercedes SLK

Drivers can enjoy 65 channels of digital-quality, commercial-free music; the entire selection of NFL games every week; a comprehensive lineup of college sports and an unmatched variety of comedy, news and entertainment programming.

The equipment required to receive SIRIUS is specifically engineered for the SLK and is fully integrated into the Mercedes-Benz audio system. This allows the customer to enjoy pure digital sound and to view content information, such as song title, artist name, and real-time sports scores, live on the head-unit display.

Sirius Radio Now An Option On Audi Cars

Sirius will continue to be available as a dealer-installed option on these models and is currently available as a factory- or dealer-installed option on the A4, S4 and A6 models.  A SIRIUS retrofit kit is also available for the 2004 A8. All of these SIRIUS-equipped Audi’s will come with three free months of service and no activation fee.

“We are very pleased to see our premium service available as a factory-installed option on these fine Audi models,” said Doug Wilsterman, Senior Vice President, OEM Automotive for SIRIUS.  “This will now allow more Audi customers to have access to our 65 channels of commercial-free music, and more than 50 channels of news, traffic, weather, and entertainment programming, including live coverage of the entire NFL every week and major college sports.”
