Asus is best known for is small Eee PC laptop, but now its going after a bigger share of the market. The company has announced that it will release a desktop version, known as the Ebox, in the next couple of months.
The Ebox will be unveiled next week at the Computex show in Taiwan, and will be available with either Linux or Windows XP as its operating system. So what makes it so different? The size and the way it sits. The Ebox will have physical dimensions of 22.2cm by 17.8cm by 2.7cm, and use the type of Vesa mount usually found on flat panel TVs, meaning it can be fitted on the back of a monitor.
