Stalk Celebrities with Windows Live Local
In a somewhat surprising move to promote its Windows Live Local mapping service, software giant Microsoft has unveiled CelebFavorites, a new Web site based on Microsoft’s Windows Live Local mapping service which pinpoints the favorite spots and hangouts of eight celebrities and entertainers. Unlike other celeb-spotting sites (like the controversial Gawker Stalker Map), celebrities are willingly participating in CelebFavorites: instead of ordinary people submitting their celebrity sightings, the stars are highlighting spots and points of interest they love about their home towns.

Vonage Says ISP Blocked Its Calls
“Vonage users who are customers of the broadband provider reported late last year that they suddenly couldn’t use the Vonage service, says Brooke Schulz, vice president of corporate communications at Vonage, in Edison, New Jersey. Vonage did some troubleshooting and discovered that network ports over which its calls traveled had been deliberately blocked, she says. Vonage then manually rerouted its calls through the network as a temporary solution to the problem, Schulz says. Schulz declines to name the broadband provider.”
They have not released the name of the ISP

Vonage Use Tops 155,000 Subscribers
In an announcement stating it was lowering the cost of it’s highest-priced residential plan, Vonage also said that its subscriber base has exceeded 155,000 users. The company had announced it reached the 100,000 subscriber mark in February of 2004.
Pricing for the company’s ”Premium Unlimited” plan is now $29.99, a $5 reduction in the price of the plan.
Edison, N.J. based Vonage is the nation’s leading provider of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) communications and provides plans for both residential and business users.
