eMachines has introduced its new eMD620-5777 notebook computer, aiming to find a sweet spot in the portable computing landscape where a basic notebook doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg, but can still easily handle everyday computing tasks. The eMD620-5777 offers a 14.1-inch, 1,280 by 800-pixel LCD display driven by integrated ATI Radeon x1200 graphics, a 1.6 GHZ AMD Athlon 2650e CPU, and 1 GB of RAM. The systems also ship with WIndows Vista Home Edition, arguably putting it a cut above smaller Atom-powered systems running Windows XP.
