Nokia Intros New XpressMusic Phone, Updates E71 Business Phone

Finland’s Nokia is continuing to push its XpressMusic platform forward, based on the idea that when people buy a phone they also buy a time-limited license to all the music they can download…and when the license expires, they can just buy a new phone. The latest addition is the 5530 XpressMusic, which also hooks in to social networking services like Facebook and MySpace and offers 4 GB of onboard memory for music and media storage.

Motorola has officially taken the wraps off its new Hint QA30 mobile phone, a messaging- and media-friendly device with a somewhat squat form factor, but a slide-out full QWERTY keyboard. 2.5-inch screen, and mobile media features meant to keep on-the-go users happy.

"Staying in touch with friends and family, keeping networks updated and ensuring constant access to social circles are top priorities for many consumers," said Motorola Mobile Devices’ president and general manager Mark Shockley, in a statement. "Motorola Hint is the stylish solution for those multitaskers who are used to having several conversations at once."

Verizon Wireless is now offering the Palm Treo 700wx, a new edition of the company’s EV-DO capable smartphone based on Microsoft’s Windows Mobile operating system.

"People love the Treo smartphone because they are driven by the need to stay in touch and manage a variety of communications and information—both business and personal," said Tim Roper, Palm’s U.S. region VP, in a release. LG F9100 Now Available From Cingular

Wireless Sync for the Treo 600 is an upgrade to Verizon Wireless’ previous version and includes always-on functionality, inbox synchronization and the integration of up to three additional POP3 or IMAP e-mail accounts.
