With the much-anticipated April 29 release of Grand Theft Auto IV just over the horizon now, developer Rockstar has taken the step of unveiling a companion site for the game. Rockstar Social Club will act as an online leader board for players tearing through Rockstar games (GTA IV being the first one supported), letting them compete to be the fiercest, fastest, and most famous.
In GTA IV, features will include an LCPD Police Blotter logging criminal activity and plotting crime stats, the Story Gang for keeping track of who has completed the single-player story arc, and the Liberty City Marathon to recognize miles walked, driven and swam, along with other stats like bullets fired and stunts-jumps jumped.
