Google Accused Of Privacy "Hypocrisy"

Google Accused Of Privacy "Hypocrisy"

What is Google’s stance on privacy? That’s the question being asked, at least by Ken Boehm of the National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) after The Smoking Gun website reveal court papers filed by the search giant in a privacy suit over its Street Views mapping tool. In its filing Google asserts that “complete privacy doesn’t exist.”

But, says NLPC’s Boehm, Google had responded to a politician by saying it “takes privacy very seriously,” according to the BBC. He continued:

"Perhaps in Google’s world privacy does not exist, but in the real world individual privacy is fundamentally important and is being chipped away bit by bit every day by companies like Google."

Video Gamers Make Better Surgeons?

A new study published in the February issue of Archives of Surgery suggests a correlation between a surgeon’s video game competence and skills at performing laparoscopic surgery.

Laparoscopic procedures involve small instruments inserted via body openings or small incisions, where the physician conducts procedures by watching a video feed on a separate television monitor rather than by direct observation of the surgical field. In many cases, laparoscopic procedures offer patients quicker revocery times and fewer complicates because of their less invasive nature.

Counter-Strike 1.6 review

Quote from the review at Elite-Guild:

“What else could a money hungry terrorist want more than new terror toys?! Unfortunately, they sort of get the short end of the stick. They only get one new toy whereas those justice loving Counter-Terrorists get a couple. On to it then!

Each side has been given a new rifle that they can buy. The starting round in any game of CS involves going head to head with a pistol and no armor

(Or if you’re smart, using the default pistol and buying some Kevlar instead of gallivanting around with a Deagal acting like you’re cool ‘cause your gun is silver)
