The basic idea is that instead of trying to wedge a general-purpose PC into someone’s home theater setup

Integra Debuts NAS-2.6 Audio Server

Integra has introduced the NAS-2.6 multizone Net-Tune audio server, capable of ripping, storing, and distributing over two thousand of hours of music. The unit is capable not only of streaming audio to up to 12 Net-Tune client devices, but also features four independent zone outputs for fixed/variable line-level distribution to conventional audio gear.

Integra’s NAS-2.6 can record and store up to 2600 hours worth of digital audio as uncompressed or compressed data files on 160 GB of hard drive space. When connected to a home network, the hard drive is available to home PCs as an external device, making it simple to transfer music between the server and other devices, such as a portable MP3 player.

Integra Delivers New 6-disc DVD Changer

The player features superior audio and video performance, and an ultra-quiet six-disc carousel tray with a unique blue illumination light for easier disc recognition in low-light situations.

Like all Integra products, the DPC-7.5 was designed with the needs of custom installers in mind, and includes features like rear-panel bidirectional RS-232 port and IR in/out jacks for seamless integration with home theater equipment and whole-home control systems.

Integra DPS-8.3 Review

Summary

Integra has introduced the DPS-8.3, a THX Ultra certified DVD player that is compatible with nearly every digital disc format in use, including DVD-Audio and SACD. Designed to meet the needs of the most discerning consumers and custom installers, the player is equally suited for use as an audio-only, or A/V source component.

Integra Debuts Build-To-Order DTR-10.5

Integra has taken a lesson from ‘build-to-order’ computer manufacturers with its new top-of-the-line DTR-10.5 THX Ultra2, 7.1-channel, 150 watt home theater receiver. This receiver is unique in itsuse of removable card-based circuit modules to provide a wide range of features, performance, and connectivity options.

The DTR-10.5 and the first seven optional modules will be available in April. As new technologies appear on the market, Integra will develop new modules, with the first of these to debut in the fall of 2004.
Customers will work with their Integra dealer and an on-line configuration wizard to customize their own personal receiver. The dealer then places the order, and Integra will assemble and test the unit to be sent to the dealer.

Integra debuts 6-Disc CD changer

Integra has introduced the CDC-3.4 six-disc CD changer, combining premium audio processing with advanced control and integration features like RS-232 and IR jacks for optimum compatibility withtoday’s whole-home distributed audio technology.

“We listened to feedback from our dealer base and custom installation professionals, and found out that there are very few options for a high quality CD changer that they can integrate easily with upscale installations,” said Integra Product Manager Eric Harper. “We designed the CDC-3.4 to fill that gap.”

Integra DPC-7.4 Six-Disc DVD Changer

Integra has introduced the new DPC-7.4 six-disc DVD changer, featuring Integra’s exclusive Direct Progressive technology, improved 54 MHz/10-bit video processing, and true multi-disc random playback,even with MP3 and WMA-encoded discs. The player features superior audio and video performance, a broad array of custom installation capabilities, and an ultra-quiet six-disc carousel tray with aunique blue illumination light and reflective disc labels for easier disc recognition in low-light situations.

Like all Integra products, the DPC-7.4 was designed with the needs of custom installers in mind. It features both RCA and professional grade BNC component video outputs for compatibility with the most advanced TV and front projection home theater displays, as well as rear-panel bidirectional RS-232 port and IR in/out jacks for seamless integration with home theater equipment and whole-home control systems. In addition to the progressive Component Video outputs, there are two rear-panel S-Video and two Composite Video jacks, and all video outputs are always active, allowing simultaneous use of more than one display device.
