Toshiba Selects ATI For New Notebooks

One of the world’s top notebook manufacturers, Toshiba will use RADEON 7000 IGP and RADEON 9000 IGP technology in four new A-series Satellite notebook designs. Designed as desktop replacements,Toshiba’s A-series notebooks offer users a range of designs to choose from including business value, high end performance and content creation. In addition to ATI’s integrated graphics platformtechnology, Toshiba will also be using the award-winning MOBILITY RADEON 9700 to power the Satellite P10-824.

“With a broad and growing user base for our Satellite series of notebooks, it is imperative to design systems with the flexibility and performance to handle today’s most visually demanding applications,” said, Masahiko Fukakushi, Vice President, Personal Computer and Network Company, Toshiba Corporation. “By selecting ATI’s platform technology we can deliver an outstanding visual experience to our users with the added value of highly efficient power management and broad media connectivity.”

Dell Expands Desktop Replacement Lineup

Starting at $899, the Latitude 100L easily handles essential computing tasks like word processing, e-mail and Internet access, and is ideal for customers who value the flexibility and productivity that comes with mobile computing.

Weighing slightly more than seven pounds, the 100L can be custom configured with Intel Celeron or Mobile Pentium 4 processors, 14.1- or 15-inch displays, 20GB to 60GB hard drives and a variety of fixed optical drives. Acer releases new entertainment PC’s

The new Aspire RC900 and RC500 bring an abundance of new features including a Super Dial and remote control to enhance user experience and enjoyment during the entertainment mode.  A fresh newdesign with sharp lines against a black and metallic color scheme creates a simple yet sophisticated appearance.  The Aspire RC900 and RC500 combine work and leisure needs all in one.

HP debuts new nx9010 notebook computer

The new notebook PC offers the latest in wireless connectivity through optional integrated 54g wireless LAN (local area network) technology. It is designed to work with new wireless networks based on the draft 802.11g specification as well as existing 802.11b wireless networks.

By choosing to integrate 54g integrated wireless into the nx9010 notebook, users can benefit from higher data transfer speeds with broader coverage than current wireless specifications provide. Integrated 54g wireless makes the notebook ideal for business environments with only one access point, enabling mobile customers to significantly enhance their productivity from the office or while on the go.
