If you were ready to dismiss the original Flip Mino as a cheap YouTube camcorder after its lukewarm first generation and subsequent imitators, the next generation may just change your mind. On Wednesday, Flip released the MinoHD camcorder, which retains the ease of use and small form factor of the original, but boosts video quality to high-def.
According to a story at TechJapan, the pocket-sized photo storage device features a 2.5-inch 40GB hard drive, Memory Stick and Compact Flash slots, and a USB 2.0 interface.
The device can copy images directly from the media slot to the hard drive and is designed to be a mobile photo storage solution, as well as an external hard drive. It works with Windows ME, 2000, XP and Mac OS X 10.3 and above.
Supported operating systems are Windows ME, 2000, XP, and Mac OS X 10.3 and above.
