Blaupunkt said yesterday they’d begun shipments of two new gadget-friendly and display-color matching car audio receivers. The new Key West MP36 and the Bahamas MP46 are priced at $149.99 and $179.99 respectively.
The Key West MP36 and Bahamas MP46, said Blaupunkt, both sport a color display panel with 4096 colors which can be customized to match any car interior and dash lighting. The Bahamas MP46 adds to this a full graphical display as well.
blinx.tv earlier this week said they’d inked a deal with MTV Networks to make searchable through their video search engine programming from various MTV properties. The full slate of MTV programming should be available through the blinx Web site now.
Under the terms of the deal, the two companies said, video programming from MTV properties CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV and VH1 will be searchable through via the blinx engine, which uses voice recognition technology to index and transcribe content. Examples of shows which are searchable include CMT’s “CMT Insider,” Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” Logo’s “Noah’s Arc,” MTV’s “Real World: Key West,” and VH1’s “Web Junk 20â€.
The new 24-hour channel, featuring a wide variety of music, live broadcasts of Buffett’s concerts and other unique programs, will debut this summer.
Jimmy Buffett launched Radio Margaritaville in 1998 as an Internet-only channel, which will still be available at http://www.radiomargaritaville.com/. Now, for the first time, Jimmy Buffett fans across America can hear the channel in their cars, on their boats andon the go by becoming SIRIUS subscribers.
SIRIUS will also broadcast Radio Margaritaville live on a regular basis from a studio located at Buffett’s Margaritaville restaurant at Universal City Walk in Orlando, Florida. The channel isexpected to broadcast from its other Margaritaville Cafes and Restaurants currently located in Key West, New Orleans, Las Vegas, Jamaica and Cancun.
