LG LX 370 Review

Summary

The LG LX 370 is a nice, compact camera-ready phone. Beyond these recommendations though, the limited multimedia options and so-so Internet browsing keep it clearly out of the smartphone category. Bearing this in mind, discerning buyers will find the handset to be a capable performer, but mostly hard sell.

Features & Design

The LG LX 370 is a candy bar phone that looks slick in gray, black and silver, with a hidden vertical number pad located below the face. It is about three and a half inches tall – four with the extended keyboard – and two inches across. The keyboard and top make the LX 370 about a half-inch thick. It weighs only four ounces, which makes it solid, but not heavy.

LG 55LH90 Review

Summary

If you’ve just downed a great porterhouse steak, why have ultra-expensive Kobe beef for dessert? Because you can. That’s how we felt when LG’s new 55-inch LH90 LED LCD HDTV arrived after just reviewing a similarly-featured Toshiba Regza HDTV – an excellent but pricey television. Although HDTVs may have similar specs like this pair, there are always differences – some small, some huge. We quickly fired up this big boy to see if it was worth the asking price.

LG enV3 Review

Summary

Cell phones always seem to come with inevitable compromises. There are sliders with both numeric dial pads and wide QWERTY keyboards that are excellent at messaging, but little else. There are cellphones with combined alphanumeric keypads that are excellent at multimedia, but make messaging difficult. LG’s messaging-centric enV3 is well-named, since it includes an envious combination of both a wide QWERTY keyboard, and a separate full-sized physical numeric dial pad, but also is excellent at multimedia. But is the jack-of-all-trades enV3, available from Verizon, a master of all, some or none?

LG enV Touch Review

Summary

LG has gone back to the future for its “new” enV Touch. Why the quotes? The enV Touch isn’t new. It’s essentially an update of LG’s first iPhone competitor, the Voyager VX10000, introduced in 2007. Physically, the two horizontal flip phones are nearly identical, with a touchscreen outside and a smaller non-touch screen inside above a four-line QWERTY keyboard. While aesthetically plagiarized, the enV Touch is endowed with an excellent camera, music player and a plethora of customization options. But it’s also plagued by bothersome little quirks that, individually, don’t seem like much, but begin to annoyingly add up.

LG-X120 Review

Summary

The LG-X120 netbook is smart and stylish with an ultra portable design. The X120’s strongest asset is easy connectivity with its 3G HSPA connection. While small the X120 comes with plenty of storage in its 160 GB hard drive. Smart-Link technology uses a simple USB connection to allow users to share files between computers or install new applications. The LG-X120 offers easy mobility in a stylish design and also packs a powerful multimedia punch.

LG Rumor2 Review

Summary

LG consistently produces some of the best-sounding, most intuitively ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing cell phones available. But for some reason, the company has failed to bring the revised Rumor 2 completely up-to-par with its most immediate Sprint competitor, the nearly identical Samsung Rant. Most notably, it lacks both 3G connectivity, and video recording. But while suffering in a side-by-side spec comparison, Rumor2 offers slightly better voice quality, and healthier talk-time battery life (two prime cell-phone purchase considerations).
