Blizzard Entertainment has announced that the Wrath of the Lich King expansion pack for its popular World of Warcraft massively online multiplayer role-playing game will land at North American retailers November 13. Folks in other markets won’t have to wait very long to get their hands on the game, though: Europe, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Russia are also scheduled to get the expansion pack the 13th, with Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand getting it November 14th, with Korea, Hong Kon, Macau, and Taiwan getting the game November 18.

World of Warcraft Tops 2M Subscribers
World of Warcraft is the largest MMO in North America, Australia, New Zealand and Europe and with the recent announcement that the game is now available in China, the sky seems to be the limit. During the beta program in China, Blizzard saw as much as 500K players playing at a time on the Chinese game servers; more than all of the previous markets combined.
Later in the year, World of Warcraft will also launch in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.
Blizzard has kept the game fresh with new updates including their recent “Battlegrounds” add-on which is free for subscribers.
