Electronics manufacturer LG is eager to have compuer users jump on the Blu-ray bandwagon, and to make it easier the company has introduced three new Blu-ray burners that can write to BD-R media at 6× speeds and BD-RE media at 2× speeds. The new units offer LightScribe technology for emblazoning and personalizing discs, along with SecurDisc capabilities to protect data.
“LG drives offer everyday users and professionals some of the fastest recording speeds in the industry,” said LG senior marketing manager Marc Sorkin, in a statement. “With cutting-edge technologies such as SecurDisc and LightScribe, which make data transfer easier and safer, these drives meet consumers’ increasing demand for a compact storage option both in the office and at home.”
