Maxtor To Power Toshiba Recorder

The RD-XS43 features a Maxtor QuickView 250GB hard disk drive that, according to Toshiba, allows users to enjoy up to 445 hours of digital recording. The new recorder also carries the QuickView logoon the front panel of the unit to reflect the level and standard of quality the consumer will experience.

“We are pleased to introduce the RD-XS43 which features the Maxtor QuickView CE hard disk drive,” said Hiroyuki Tokoro, technology executive of digital AV at Toshiba Corporation’s Digital MediaNetwork Company. “More and more customers are demanding DVD & HDD recorders because of the hard drive functionality and optimized features. The high capacity and performance of Maxtor’s QuickViewhard drive coupled with Maxtor’s MaxLabs® services, proved crucial in delivering the RD-XS43 successfully to market.”

JVC Teams Up WIth Maxtor For Recorders

Maxtor Corporation announced today that Victor Company of Japan Ltd (JVC) has selected Maxtor QuickView consumer electronics (CE) hard disk drives for its new DR-MH30 and DR-MH50 HDD & DVD recorders. The JVC DR-MH30 incorporates a Maxtor 160GB QuickView hard disk drive and provides up to 143 hours of standard definition video recording. The JVC DR-MH50 includes a Maxtor 250GB QuickView hard drive and offers up to 225 hours of standard definition video recording.

Maxtor Announces External DVR Drives

Maxtor Corporation announced today its QuickView portfolio of consumer hard drives will include an external storage offering. The Maxtor QuickView Expander drive will enable digital video recorder (DVR) owners to readily add-on up to 160 hours of recording time to their existing units. First of its kind, the QuickView Expander emphasizes Maxtor’s commitment to develop and market application-specific storage solutions for emerging categories such as consumer electronics.

Toshiba Uses Maxtor HDD’s In Video Recorder

These new offerings come equipped with Maxtor QuickView 80GB, 160GB, and 250GB hard disk drives which are designed specifically for consumer electronics applications and recording devices.

JVC to use Maxtor HDD in new DVD recorder

The new JVC DR-MH5 HDD & DVD recorder incorporates a Maxtor 120GB QuickView CE hard disk drive. The drive provides approximately 120 hours of video recording and has the ability to record twoprograms simultaneously. In addition, the DR-MH5 includes a ghost reduction tuner which brings the ability to record clearer images.

Maxtor to power new Toshiba HDD recorders

QuickVIEW hard drive provides the new Toshiba device with up to 208 hours of recording time and enables viewers to record and playback simultaneously.
