ATI Offers Up New Mobile Gaming GPU

ATI Technologies today unveiled a new notebook gaming focused GPU. The new ATI Mobility Radeon X1800 series will begin appearing in notebooks from manufacturers such as Alienware, Boxx, Eurocom, Fujitsu Siemens Computers, Hypersonic, rock, Savrow and Voodoo PC immediately.

The ATI Mobility Radeon X1800 series, said ATI, has new on board technology for enhanced video playback. Other features of this new GPU include new ultra-threaded 3D architecture and ring bus memory controller, fast 3D image quality and full support of Catalyst Mobility to provide access to the latest Catalyst driver support.

ATI Announces Mobility Radeon X700 GPU

Mobility Radeon X700 technology will be adopted by many of the industry’s top OEM and ODM designers including Acer, Arima, Asus, Alienware, BenQ, Clevo, Compal, ECS, Eurocom, Fujitsu, Fujitsu-Siemens, Gateway Inc, Inventec, Lenovo, LG, Medion, MSI, Samsung, Sony, Targa, Toshiba and Uniwill.

“Users want next generation graphics performance without sacrificing the convenience of their thin-and-light notebooks,” said Phil Eisler, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Mobile Business Unit, ATI technologies. “With the introduction of MOBILITY RADEON X700, they don’t have to. It has the versatility, performance and power efficiency to address a wide range of notebooks from thin-and-light to mobile workstations.”

ATI Adds New PCI-Express GPU’s To Line-up

Addressing the needs of thin and light notebook PCs, Mobility Radeon X300 delivers the perfect blend of DirectX 9 performance and power management for consumer and commercial notebooks. At the other end of the spectrum, Mobility Radeon X800 is a 12 pixel pipeline mobile gaming powerhouse designed for today’s most visually intensive DirectX 9 games and applications.

ATI Introduces Mobility Radeon 9800

Based on core technology from the award-winning RADEON X800, MOBILITY RADEON 9800 is a powerhouse visual processor that blends the best of the desktop and mobile graphics world, to the ultimatebenefit of the user. MOBILITY RADEON 9800 is available from Dell on the Inspiron XPS in North America and the Inspiron 9100 in Europe.

HP Chooses ATI For New Notebooks

The HP Pavilion zx5000 series notebook features both ATI’s MOBILITY RADEON 9200 and MOBILITY RADEON 9600 graphics. The Pavilion zx5000 is optimized to provide virtual parity with desktop PC performance for improved levels of user functionality, entertainment and convenience.

ATI’s MOBILITY RADEON 9000 IGP graphics technology is also featured in the new HP Pavilion zv5000 series notebook, designed with a premium on value and loaded with rich multimedia features.

The Compaq Presario R3000 comes equipped with a choice of ATI’s MOBILITY RADEON 9000 IGP, MOBILITY RADEON 9200, or MOBILITY RADEON 9600 mobile visual processors. The R3000 caters to mobile users who crave flexibility and a high performance audio-visual experience.
