There are times when bandwidth is all that matters and cost is, at best, a secondary factor. Say you’re a filmmaker or journalist trying to upload your latest footage from out in the boonies—or from a boat. Maybe you work in security and need to set up net-connected equipment and surveillance right now without waiting days (or weeks) for an ISP to get back to you. Maybe your main office has been flooded and you’re set up in temporary digs until the walls dry out and carpet gets replaced…but the new place has no bandwidth.

Toshiba’s LCD TV With Built-in DVD Player
The compact product measures 350×72x344mm, weighs 5.3kg, and enables users to watch DVDs and play music CDs in the comfort of their own dining room, study room or even outside in the garden – virtually anywhere.
The product, coupled with an optional battery pack, remains operational for up to 2.5 hours. The built-in DVD player supports a wide variety of optical disc formats, such as DVD-Video, DVD-R, Video-CD, music-CD, CD-R and CD-RW. It also supports a high-speed 192kHz/24bit DAC audio to deliver high-quality stereo sound.
The SD-260J, a low-priced DVD player, will also be available on July 16. Both products are open-priced.
