You could be excused for dismissing wearable tech after 20 years of corny 3D glasses, Nintendo Power Gloves and goofy Bluetooth jackets, but there might just be a light at the end of the tunnel. BitTorrent and Orb Partner on Streaming
BitTorrent and Orb Networks have announced an agreement to bundle together the BItTorrent client application with the Orb PC application in an effort to create a one-step solution that enables users to download content from the Internet and push it to any other Internet connected device, including mobile phones, large-screen TVS, compatible game consoles—even jailbroken iPhones. Orb users can also use the application to organize their entire media libraries, set up playlists, organize their media, and share items with mobile users or on social networks.

The move comes comes only a few weeks after Nintendo opened up Internet access for its Wii game console; since then, the company claims to have had nearly 50,000 downloads for its Orb software from Wii users looking to watch video and other computer-hosted media on their TV screen using their Wii. Now, PlayStation 3 users can do the same thing—and it’s free.

Using Orb software, a user of a Nokia mobile phone with RealPlayer support could listen to (or record) an Orb iRadio feed of a live sporting event being broadcast to the Internet in Windows Media format
Orb Audio Classic Two Review
Quote from the review:
“The Orb speakers can look unrefined and raw, or elegant and rich depending on the finish and setup you choose. The HOSS speaker stands are cool to look at and you can even see the welding marks from when they were built; we wouldn’t change a thing about them. You can buy their floor stands, desk stands or wall mounts allowing you to put these little speakers just about anywhere.
