palmOne Treo 650 Review

“In 2004 palmOne launched an improved version of the communicator called Treo 650. The first samples were intended only for the large Sprint network. The device supported CDMA 2000 1xRTT, 800/1900 MHz.

That new model was a howling success in the USA. Many reviewers called Treo 650 the best smartphone of its time. A GSM modification of it appeared after some time as well.

palmOne calls Treo devices smart phones. Reviewers call them communicators. In our turn, we want to note that Treo 650 is essentially a handheld with an additional long-range radio interface.”

Palm Tungsten T5 Review

Quote from the review:

“As we all know, technology never stops, nor does the onslaught of new gadgets and fun things to buy. PalmOne is no stranger to this phenomenon, and they have just released their new handheld, the Tungsten T5. Of course, being the ‘latest and greatest’ in any product line is sure to have an impact on pricing. The T5 is on the top end of PalmOne’ product line, so I am expecting to see top end performance. Not only does the T5 come with a hi-res screen, but it also takes advantage of several of the features introduced with the T3 such as the larger viewing area, the ability to rotate into landscape mode, and the digitized writing surface.

palmOne Zire 31 Review

Quote from the review:

“Palm, or rather palmOne as it’s now known is the granddaddy of pocket size PDAs and with the new Zire range, palmOne is taking on the low cost colour display models from Sony and Mitac. The Zire 31 is the more basic of the two recently launched Zire models, but it’s also far cheaper than the Zire 72.

palmOne Quietly Launching Retail Stores

Following in the footsteps of electronics makers Apple, Gateway and Sony, PalmOne on Friday unveiled its flagship store in Philadelphia’s International Airport. It brings to 11 locations the Milpitas, California-based company has quietly opened since 2002.

The stores, in coastal states such as New Jersey and California and ranging from walk-through kiosks to large shopping mall and airport locations, will help PalmOne introduce low-end Zire and business-driven Tungsten handhelds and Treo mobile phones to consumers who do not normally shop in stores like Best Buy or Circuit City.
