“Sony’s VAIO A series is the company’s flagship multimedia laptop. It’s also Sony’s first to come equipped with a 17in. widescreen display. As expected with any Sony product, the VAIO VGN-A197XP is visually distinctive and comes with a premium asking price. Based on Intel’s brand-new Dothan Pentium M processor, 1GB of DDR SDRAM, ATI’s top-end Mobility Radeon 9700 graphics chipset and both built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the VAIO VGN-A197XP pretty much has it all. If you’re looking to make a professional statement about yourself and your company, the VAIO VGN-A197XP is just the ticket. If value and performance are more important, you can better this offering for almost half the price. Having said that, you’ll not find a TFT screen as good as this one.”

Sony debuts VAIO PCG-TR1A notebook
Complete with an integrated camera, widescreen format display and DVD/CD-RW combo drive, the new VAIO® PCG-TR1A notebook is no larger than a hardback novel but performs like its larger counterparts.
The new model blends style, stamina and mobile visual communication capabilities to yield a PC that’s exponentially greater than the sum of its parts. And it’s all packed into a newly designed silvery-white magnesium alloy casing that weighs a mere 3.1 pounds.
