Pharos Traveler 137 Review

Summary

The Pharos Traveler 137 GPS smartphone offers a flush 3.5-inch touch-screen WVGA display and the latest 3.5G communications capability. It leads the industry with its 7.2 Mbps download and 2 Mbps upload speeds which enable quick Web browsing and email. The Traveler 137 features two onboard cameras a smaller 0.3 MP camera for video conferencing and a larger 3.1 MP camera for photos and video. Other features include build-in GPS, free real-time traffic, and a talk time of up to 4 hours.


We haven’t had a chance to fully test this product yet, but we’ve assembled this helpful overview of relevant information on it.

Pharos Rolls Out Windows Mobile GPS Unit

GPS company Pharos today took the wrappings off a new Windows Mobile device which is GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled. The Pharos Traveler GPS 525, priced at $599.95, is available now.

The Pharos Traveler GPS 525, which is about the size of a mobile phone, runs off of the Windows Mobile 5 operating system. Besides its incorporation of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, this pocket navigation device has built-in GPS capacity which makes use of a 512MB SD card preloaded with maps of the top 50 U.S. metropolitan areas. This is all on top of standard Windows Mobile related features such as syncing with Microsoft Outlook.
