Planar Debuts PX LCD Monitor Line

With the intention to be used in business settings, the new PX LCD line from Planar is a good fit for computer assisted design, manufacturing and even finance according to Planar. The new PX212M and the PX2320MW are widescreen models with the PX2320MW able to support incoming HDTV signals. The Planar PX2320MW 23-inch LCD uses Planar’s RapidVideo technology to give the LCD a fast response. All of the LCD monitors announced today feature a speed rating of 10ms or less, which is sure to appeal to those that use graphic intensive applications or even games.

ViewSonic Adds New 32-Inch LCD TV

ViewSonic is getting ready to add a new 32-inch LCD television to their existing line up. The wide-screen N3250w, priced at $1299 and high-definition ready, is expected to be available on store shelves and online in July.

The N3250w features special ViewSonic picture technology, high brightness of 550 nits, an 800:1 contrast ratio and a 1366 x 768 resolution. It will also feature a 170 degree viewing angle and 12 millisecond viewing time to help deliver a smoother full-motion video image, even while gaming or surfing the Internet.

Available in 50- and 60-inch models, the PY2DR series features all the benefits of plasma HDTV combined with a powerful 160-gigabyte HD-DVR built into the ultra-thin cabinet.  The new Digital Cable Ready plasma HDTVs feature the capability of storing up to 13 hours of digital high-definition programming or 63 hours of digital standard-definition programming.

Dell Ships UltraSharp 2005FPW LCD Monitor

Westinghouse Reduces Prices on LCD TVs

The new pricing reflects a drop of nearly 25 percent for the W32701 and 18 percent for the W33001 from just 10 weeks ago. This latest move is part of the company’s overall strategy to reflect declining LCD TV production costs in retail store pricing as soon as they occur and lead the industry in making LCD TVs the television of choice for mainstream consumers, according to Douglas Woo, president of Westinghouse Digital.
