It’s possible someone who’s been paying even a tiny bit of attention to the evolution of interactive home video technology didn’t see this one coming…but we don’t know how. DVR pioneer TiVo announced today that it has added the ability for broadband-connected TiVo subscribers to order Domino’s pizza for either delivery or pickup directly from their television sets via TiVo.
No, really. We didn’t just make that up.
A new line of messenger bags coming to American shores from Netherlands-based UrbanAccess will sport a variety of designs and be sold in white corrugated pizza boxes. No, this isn’t a late April Fools joke – the “Pizza Courier†collection is priced at $49.95 and will be available for sale later this month.
The Pizza Courier collection from UrbanAccess, said the bag maker, is made up of slim, multipurpose satchels with laser cut, embroidered and mixed media graphics on their front flaps. They will come in dozens of international city themed designs, with Berlin, New York, Amsterdam and other cities already represented in sometimes reportedly provocative “tributes to urban destinations around the worldâ€.
I’ll admit – this seems like a weird promotion but hey, what do I know? Anyhow, Papa John’s, a nationwide pizza chain, is doing a limited time promotion where you buy a pizza and get a BlackBerry thrown in for free.
Specifically, according to a company press release, consumers must visit Papa John’s Website and order a pizza, two 20-oz. beverages and their choice of a side item. Customers who then commit to a two-year service agreement will receive a free, after rebate of course, BlackBerry 7100g wireless handheld.
“Sony plans to integrate the pizza function more tightly into the game, so players can charge pizza to their monthly game subscription bill.
“The goal for the future is to eventually let people do more things like this,” Kramer said. “They could type /harry potter and get the new Harry Potter book delivered or /star wars and get the new Star Wars DVD.”"
Typing /pizza while in the game will launch the Pizza Hut website where you can order your favorite pizza without logging out of the game.
