Nextar T30 PMP Touts 3.5-inch Screen, $99 Price
Sometimes it seems silly to pay $69 for a display-free music player that has to be completely configured using desktop software—especially when a few dollars more will get you a media player that can display photos and video plus pull in your favorite FM stations. The Nextar T30 is just such a beat, offering 4 GB of onboard memory (and an SD slot for another 2 GB of storage), an integrated FM tuner, a voice reorder, and a 3.5-inch 320 by 240-pixel LCD display.
CyberHome Delivers New PMPs
Consumer electronics company CyberHome Entertainment last week announced two new portable media players designed to play videos and music. The PMP 4000 is priced at $399 and expected to be available in January. No release or pricing information was given about the other unit.
Video Without Boundaries Preps New PMP
Video Without Boundaries earlier this week announced a new member of their Flyboy line of portable media players. The Flyboy HD is set to retail for under $400 when it begins shipping early next year.
The Flyboy HD features a 980 x 234 LCD display which is supported by LED backlight technology for outdoor viewing, 20GB hard drive and USB 2.0 support. This PMP can record movies or television programs in MPEG-4 via a one cord connection to a video source as well as output sound and images to an external TV or projector.
