The Register has looked at a number of reports and rumors that together seem to hint at the possibility of Apple releasing a 4GB model of the iPhone next week at its Worldwide Developers Conference.
The first comes from Endgadget, which has a supposed leak from the PCS Type Review Certification Board, the group certifying GSM handsets, saying it has approved iPhones of 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB capacities.
According to a story at The Register, iRiver’s new H300 series of media players will feature a 20GB and a 40GB hard drive-based model.
Content is displayed on the device’s 2-inch color LCD and can be accessed using PDA-style navigator controls.
The article says that the H300’s will play Ogg Vorbis, MP3 and WMA audio formats, feature an onboard FM tuner, support voice recording and be able to transfer photos directly from digital cameras. A built-in USB port will allow the device to act as a USB host for cameras, allowing them to transfer directly to the media player for storage and playback. It will display JPEG and BMP images, and will also be able to render text files on the LCD.
