AT&T has announced it is throwing open the doors of its nationwide Wi-Fi network to its more than 10 million subscribers to currently subscribe to 1.5 Mbps DSL or greater broadband service. The unlimited access will be available at no additional charge for users who sign up through the AT&T Web site, and will provide unlimited Wi-Fi access at more than 9,000 McDonald’s restaurants and more than 1,000 other Wi-Fi hotspots operated by Wayport.

AT&T Remote Controls U-verse
Stuck in traffic and clenching your teeth that you’re about to miss the first opening notes of American Idol? Don’t fret, says AT&T. At least if you’re a customer of the telecom giant’s U-verse service that is. Customers can now schedule and manage their U-verse TV recordings from an AT&T wireless phone or device, the company reported today.
AT&T Homezone Touts Broadband, Satellite TV
It might only be available in Ohio and San Antonio right now, but you can bet AT&T more markets are going to come online: today AT&T began marketing Homezone, a new service which combined high-speed Internet access and satellite television in one set-top box.
The new AT&T Homezone service combines Yahoo High Speed Internet with DISH Network satellite television service in a single set-top box which combines DVR functionality, movies-on-demand, photo- and music-sharing, and offers remote Web-based access to the system so users on the go can set their DVR to record a program without having to grab the remote.
