Now, the Rio Karma has some great features, but for me the inclusion of an Ethernet port in the cradle is the best feature of all. If you connect the cradle up to your home or office network, it will grab an IP address and be accessible to any computer attached to the network. When you install the Rio Music Manager software onto your PC it will find the Karma and allow you to transfer files to it over the network without the need for a direct USB connection. If like me, you have a wireless network at home you can simply buy a wireless bridge and plug the Karma docking cradle into it, effectively connecting the Karma directly to your network and allowing you to access the device from any computer on that’s connected.

Creative Zen Touch 20GB MP3 Player
Like its predecessors, the Touch will be slightly larger and heavier than the Rio Karma, Apple iPod, or iRiver H120. It measures 4.12″ x 2.7″ x .866″ and weighs in at 7.05 ounces with the battery. Compared to the Zen Xtra, the Touch is a bit narrower and shorter, but just as thick. Creative is obviously hoping that the strong points of the player, e.g. sound quality, value, and battery life, will be enough to persuade potential customers.
One of Creative’s trademarks has always been sound quality. The Touch features the same 97dB SNR as its forebears, so you can rest assured that your MP3s (or WAVs) will sound as good as they can.
