The D-Link MediaLounge Wireless Media Player distributes video/audio content to television sets throughout the home using wired or wireless connectivity. Consumers have more flexibility in storing and collecting a myriad of content with the release of Microsoft XP Media Center Edition 2005 and as a result, digital media adapters such as the D-Link MediaLounge DSM-320 allow consumers to remotely access all the digital music, photos and video stored on their PCs through any TV in the home.

Linksys Unveils Wireless DVD Player
The Linksys DVD Player with Wireless-G Media Link (WMLD54G) plugs into a TV and home stereo via standard composite, component or S-video cables. It normally operates as a DVD player but can also bring in streaming audio and video and still images from a PC over an 802.11g wireless Lan.
Users will be able to stream video files in MPEG2, MPEG4 and Divx formats and audio files in MP3 and Windows Media Audio formats from a PC or other storage device to the TV or stereo. The files can be sent over the wireless Lan or over wired 10/100Mbps (bit-per-second) Ethernet.
