Sharp Updates AQUOS Line With HDTV

To meet the growing consumer demand for cutting-edge home entertainment options, Sharp, the global market leader in Liquid Crystal television, today announced the availability of new widescreen AQUOS LCD HDTV models, the GD4U and GD6U series. These new state-of-the-art AQUOS models are true, full High Definition televisions (1920×1080 resolution) with built-in CableCARD for “plug and play” capability, so consumers can enjoy the latest cable-TV HDTV programming without the added bulk or expense of an additional set-top box. These integrated HDTVs, available in 26-, 32- and 37-inch screen sizes, further strengthen Sharp’s large AQUOS collection, which currently offers consumers the widest selection of screen sizes, speaker configurations and unit colors of LCD TVs.

Sharp Introduces New 19-Inch LCD Display

Sharp Systems of America, a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation, today announced a new addition to its LCD monitor line-up aimed at business and consumer users. The stylish 19-inch LL-191A LCD monitor is a bright SXGA (1,280 x 1,024 dots) LCD display that can achieve a high response time of 16ms, making the unit ideal for video and design applications. The monitor’s elegant look and narrow frame design requires less setup space, maximizing the users desktop space, while providing a generous amount of display space for computing applications.
“The stylish LL-191A offers users a large screen in a surprisingly narrow design without compromising on important technological aspects needed in a professional quality display,” said Terry Hanly, product marketing manager for Sharp Systems of America. “With a 16ms response time, the LL-191A is at the top of its class in video performance, and the 1.3 megapixel SXGA display provides users with a great quality display for a wide range of applications.”

New Sharp LL-M17W1 and LL-M15X1 LCD’s

Sharp Systems of America,  today announced the introduction of a new class of desktop LCD monitors, called the LTM (LCD/TV Monitor). In addition to offering advanced LCD performance for desktopcomputing, the new 15- and 17-inch LTM monitors come equipped with built-in TV tuners and remote control functionality. Sharp Electronics Corporation is the U.S. sales and marketing subsidiary ofSharp Corporation, Osaka, Japan, the industry leader in liquid crystal display television.

Sharp demos new video products

The products feature proprietary technologies and unique styling for design- and environment-conscious consumers and video professionals.
