Mega video game developer and publisher Electronic Arts has pushed the latest edition of its Skate boarding franchise, Skate 2, for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 out to retailers, adding a plethora of new tricks and competition to keep fans riveted. And fans had better be dedicated, because while EA is promoting the title as pushing limits and innovating the skateboarding game genre, getting through the games challenges requires precision movies—a whole lot of them.

EA Brings Skate It to Nintendo Wii, DS
Electronic Arts is expanding its Skate video game franchise to the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS handheld with Skate It, a new game which offers players the experience of riding a skateboard through the best sports in San Vaneloma—and pulling the slickest moves with the game’s signature FlickIt controls. Skate It will also include support for the Wii Balance Board—which ships as part of Wii Fit— enabling players to put their feet in the game.

Electronic Arts has announced that its anticipated street boarding title Skate for the Xbox 360 has shipped to North American retailers, with the PlayStation 3 version of the game due to do out the door September 24. The European market won’t be left out: Xbox 360 owners can expect to see Skate on September 21, with the PS3 edition due to land across the pond on October 5.
EA’s Skate Gets Its Dates
Electronic Arts has announced its new boarding-themed video game Skate will go on sale for the Xbox 360 on September 12 in the United States and September 14 in Europe—but players who just have to get a taste now will be able to grab a Skate demo from Xbox Live Marketplace starting August 15. PlayStation 3 owners will be able to get their hands on the game starting September 24 in the U.S. and on October 5 in Europe.
