Peripheral and accessories maker Kinesis has been devoted to making keyboards, mice, footswitches, and other input devices for folks who have trouble with everyday keyboards and pointing devices. And let’s face it: many of us know firsthand that the more we type, the more time we spend wondering if there’s a better, less painful way to get things done.

For more socially conscious types who don’t agree with this mantra, the Canadian design firm Intelligent Forms has been working on a catalog of items that attempt to meld the two seemingly contradictory concepts of luxury and efficiency without compromising on either end. Its latest product, the SOLo Lounge Table, offers a contemporary design suitable for extravagant homes, but also soaks up the sun to serve as a free power station for gadgets.
Dream’eo, a maker of portable media players, last week unveiled their latest portable video player device. The new Solo player should be available shortly.
The Dream’eo Solo is a full fledged Windows Mobile style portable media player which supports video (MPEG-1, MPEG-4, ASF, WMV, AVI), audio (MP3, WMA, WAV) and image (GIF, PNG, JPG, PNG, BMG) files. It is equipped with a 3.5†color LCD with a resolution of 320 x 240, a 20GB hard drive and a SD/MMC memory card slot.
Other features of the Solo include A/V output, in line audio recording, voice recording, bundled remote control and USB 2.0 high speed file transfers.
