Sony VAIO VGN-A160 Laptop Review

Quote from the review here at Designtechnica:

“We didn’t give the A160 an award for a couple reasons. There is way too much preinstalled software and junk on the system and it can ruin the user experience. Sony also didn’t add a media card reader (other than their own Sony Memory Stick) and they didn’t include a scroll wheel. These should both be a given in a desktop replacement system, and why they left these out is beyond us.

Sony Japan unveils 8-Megapixel Digicam

The camera sports a new four-color CCD, imaging processor, and a high-end Carl Zeiss lens.

The new digital camera is aimed at sophisticated hobbyists, not strictly for professionals, according to Sony. Suggested retail price will be $1,200 upon its release in early November, PC World reported.

The camera, which can be connected to a PC, accepts Sony Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, CompactFlash, and IBM Microdrive media cards.

Sony says the new four-color CCD color filter covers a range of hues overlooked by three-color systems.
