Computer maker MSI has introduced five new notebook computer models in its C-series, and while the computers may not sport eye-catching outlandish designs or best-of-class horsepower, they do offer 16- and 17-inch displays, a decent selection of specs, and price tags that ought to appeal to both business users and everyday consumers.

Nike Adds Amp+ Watch to iPod Line
Sports gear and apparel maker Nike has expanded out its line of iPod-compatible products with the new Amp+ Sport Remote Control. The wristband acts as a watch—you can actually tell time using the LED display—and works as a remote control in conjunction with the Nike+iPod Sport Kit, which includes an in-shoe sensor and a wireless receiver which works with either the original iPod nano or the new video-capable iPod nano.
Toshiba Brings HD DVD-R To Notebooks
With the “format war” between HD DVD and Blu-ray still in its opening rounds, next-generation DVD burners are only starting to hit the upper echelons of the personal computing market. Now, Toshiba has announced what looks to be the first notebook computer to sport a HD DVD-R drive, its Qosmio G30/97A (Japanese), an upgrade to its Qosmio G30 multimedia notebook systems.
Klegg Mini V12s to Support Video
In an announcement short on both hype and specifics, boutique electronics maker Klegg has announced plans to introduce its Klegg Mini V12 portable media players by mid-summer (we assume that means July or August). The new players will sport 1, 2, and 4 GB capacities—and the 4 GB model will sport Bluetooth connectivity, so users can use wireless stereo headsets with the players.
Mini-iPods “Confirmed” For MacWorld
The new iPods will not only sport smaller drive capacities, but will also be physically smaller, the article says.
Solid colors will also be available, including gold. Whether the new iPods will be patterned or striped is “unconfirmed”.
The question of everybody’s lips – how much? – is still a closely-guarded secret, although the price is said to be “significantly less” than for existing models.
In other news, MacRumors reports that “The fate of PowerMac and Xserve updates appear less likely at MacWorld San Francisco.”
