Peripheral and accessory maker Logitech has introduced two new entries in its Squeezebox line of network-away music players: the Squeezebox Radio and the Squeezebox Touch. Although both devices are Wi-Fi enables and are designed to let users tap into their own music collections as well as Internet radio or music subscription services, they aim at different sets of needs: the Squeezebox radio is designed for a desktop, nightstand or end table—somewhere you might want a little bit of music without the hassle of a boombox or full-fledged computer—while the Squeezebox Touch is designed to hook into an existing home music system and bring a users’ digital tunes to the big speakers. Both devices will stream DRM-free music from iTunes libraries, free Internet radio services like Pandora, as well as subscription services like Napster, Rhapsody, and Last.fm.

Slim Devices? newest Squeezebox network music player is turning heads with a stylish look and the ability to stream digital music and Internet radio stations to a stereo. It is the third generation of a device which has won numerous awards from the tech media.
The Squeezebox network music player is available in black or white and comes in a slim, vertical brushed metal case which contrasts with an aqua-blue display. This 7.6? x 3.7? x 3.1? case has a stand and was designed by renowned California-based designer Fred Bould.
Squeezebox Gets A Facelift
Ever since we first reviewed the SliMP3 player last year, Slim Devices network music players have been the standard to which we compare similar products from other manufacturers. Our key criteria include ease of use and performance compared to traditional music players and the SliMP3 had it all. While the SliMP3 was fast, intuitive and powerful, its successor the Squeezebox added digital outputs and wireless capabilities – two options we had asked for in our SliMP3 review.
