Resurgent but ethically-beleaguered computer maker Hewlett-Packard announced today that it is now offering PayPal as a payment option at its HP Home & Home Office online store. PayPal, now a subsidiary of online auction giant Ebay, has long offered a way for businesses and consumers to pay for (and accept payments for) goods and services via the Internet. It currently boasts more than 122 million accounts.
"Adding PayPal as a payment option gives our customers more choices and even greater convenience," said Sam Taylor, HP’s senior VP, Consumer Direct. "PayPal’s millions of customers can experience the HP Home Store’s award-winning customer service and unparalleled selection of HP consumer products and supplies." HP also accepts most major credit cards and offers e-financing to qualifying customers.
