Use Kodak Cameras at T-Mobile HotSpots

Eastman Kodak Company and T-Mobile USA Inc., which operates the largest carrier owned Wi-Fi (802.11b) wireless broadband network in the United States, today announced an agreement to simplify online picture sharing using Wi-Fi outside of the home or office. Owners of the new KODAK EASYSHARE-ONE digital camera will have integrated access to T-Mobile HotSpot service, available at more than 5,000 convenient locations across the U.S.

All EASYSHARE-ONE camera purchasers will initially receive a free, camera-specific T-Mobile HotSpot trial (terms to be determined). T-Mobile HotSpot subscription plans will be available for the EASYSHARE-ONE camera beginning later this year (pricing and other terms to be determined).

Kodak’s Wireless Digital Photography System

On the eve of the 2005 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Eastman Kodak Company introduced a groundbreaking wireless digital photography system, giving people the freedom to share pictures whenever and wherever they wish.

At the heart of the system is the new KODAK EASYSHARE-ONE zoom digital camera, which provides people with extraordinary control over how and when they share pictures. The device is the first of its kind, allowing people to e-mail pictures directly from the camera via Wi-Fi; to view online albums in the KODAK EASYSHARE Gallery (formerly Ofoto) on the camera; to store and organize up to 1,500 favorite pictures for instant display on its high-resolution, 3-inch touch screen LCD; and to take vibrant still pictures and full-motion video. No other digital camera gives people such an extensive ability to take, organize, share and print their pictures.

T-Mobile Inreases Hot Spot Security

T-Mobile USA announced today that it is the only US wireless carrier to provide both Wi-Fi users and corporate IT managers additional peace-of-mind for wireless broadband data security due to the implementation of the 802.1x security standard across the nationwide T-Mobile HotSpot wireless network.(a) With this enhancement to its existing security practices, T-Mobile not only reinforces that it is the premium brand for Wi-Fi, but again delivers an industry first to the US market — being the first national wireless carrier to deploy 802.1x. The 802.1x standard provides one of the highest degrees of Wi-Fi security commercially available by encrypting and helping protect the wireless broadband signal between a laptop and/or PDA and the network’s wireless access point or antennae.

HP Unveils New iPAQ Handhelds

HP today strengthened its ability to provide customers with the latest mobile services and content with the introduction of a new suite of HP iPAQ handheld devices and an alliance with T-Mobile USA, Inc. that expands the iPAQ lineup to address the growing converged data/voice market.

The iPAQs enable everyone from mobile professionals to consumers to wirelessly access digital content and services such as corporate data, wireless printing, music downloads and streaming video through a variety of existing and emerging mobile services.

T-Mobile Brings Wi-Fi To US Airways Clubs

The rollout of T-Mobile HotSpot-enabled US Airways Club locations begins nationwide in airports such as Ronald Reagan Washington National and San Francisco this month, with US Airways Club locationsin Philadelphia, Boston, and New York?s LaGuardia airport to follow. This relationship creates more convenient locations for reliable Internet access for T-Mobile HotSpot customers, and gives USAirways customers another amenity to make traveling more productive.

“US Airways is pleased to offer this service enhancement, which makes our Clubs an even more efficient virtual office,” said B. Ben Baldanza, US Airways senior vice president of marketing andplanning. “T-Mobile was the natural choice to meet the needs of our customers.”

Kinkos to offer T-Mobile hotspot Wi-Fi

Long a destination where business gets done, Kinko’s® is becoming the place wired-in businesspeople also work wirelessly. The company’s location on Greenville Avenue in Dallas today became the firstto host T-Mobile HotSpot Wi-Fi service, providing a whole new way of doing business for mobile professionals with a Wi-Fi enabled laptop or handheld.

Earlier today, Jeff Heyman, retail vice president for Kinko’s, and Joe Sims, vice president and general manager of T-Mobile HotSpot, kicked off Kinko’s nationwide deployment of T-Mobile HotSpotwireless broadband Internet service at a “cutting of the Ethernet cord” ceremony at the Greenville Avenue location.

Dell and T-Mobile to bundle Wi-Fi service

Dell customers can now get 2,000 free minutes of the T-Mobile HotSpot service within the first 30 days after activation, when they sign-up for a new qualifying T-Mobile HotSpot service plan1.

With more than 2,600 convenient public locations, T-Mobile HotSpot is the nation’s largest commercial Wi-Fi network including numerous airports and airline clubs, Borders Books and Music stores, Starbucks coffeehouses and soon at more than 1,000 Kinko’s locations. These convenient locations allow Dell customers with a wireless-enabled notebook or PDA who subscribe to T-Mobile HotSpot to check e-mail, surf the Web, watch streaming video or download multimedia presentations in places where they already go as part of their daily routine.

T-Mobile adds ‘bundle’ to WiFi service

This will enable people to use their Wi-Fi enabled laptop or PDA to get a broadband wireless Internet connection at more than 2,300 T-Mobile HotSpot locations across the country.

Consistent with its Get More promise to provide the best value in wireless, new and existing T-Mobile customers can now add the
T-Mobile HotSpot service to their existing monthly bill at a special rate of $19.99 for unlimited access. The special rate rewards T-Mobile’s voice and data customers with up to a 50 percent savingsover current regular HotSpot rate plans. T-Mobile HotSpot service will continue to be available as a ‘stand alone’ service on a subscription or pay as you go basis.

Kinko’s adds T-mobile’s wireless broadband

More than 1,000 Kinko’s locations nationwide plan to offer the T-Mobile HotSpot service, with rollout starting in the fourth quarter of this year.

Currently available in more than 2,300 convenient brand-name locations across the country, the T-Mobile HotSpot service provides customers with wireless broadband connectivity to the Internet andcorporate intranets via Wi-Fi enabled laptops and PDAs.

Through the agreement, Kinko’s and T-Mobile will add a service that caters to the needs of one of Kinko’s core customers – mobile professionals. These customers regularly turn to the Kinko’s networkof digitally connected locations for their presentation needs and a variety of other services.
