If you thought your house key was safe from duplication just because you never loaned it out long enough for anyone to make a copy, you may want to invest in a few more deadbolts for the front door – and a pitbull, while you’re at it. A team of researchers from the University of California, San Diego, has figured out how to duplicate keys merely by taking pictures of them from afar.

UK Team Wins Pro-Gaming Prize
Britain might not often win at sports these days, but a British team has taken home the top prize at the second year of the Championship Gaming Series (CGS) in Los Angeles, taking home the Mountain Dew trophy and the $500,000 check that goes a long with it.
The Birmingham Salvo also had the two most valuable players of the tournament, Dean "Picaso" Sutton and David "Daveyskills" Kelly, the BBC reports.
It all began back in March, when players competed to win places on a CGS team. Those who succeeded were given contracts and monthly salaries as they took part in competitions. From an initial 18 teams the number was whittled down to the eight who took part in the grand final.
