Sharps Actius MC24 Notebook Finally Arrives

Sharp Unveils 23-Inch ‘IT-TV’ HDTV Monitor

With a high contrast ratio of 550:1 and high brightness of 500 nits, the IT-23M1U display provides users with a large, high definition screen capable of viewing the most detailed computer-aided design images. With a response time under 16ms, the IT-23M1U provides high performance for sharp delineation of quickly moving, and/or high data images without latent images or ghosting.

Transmeta, Sharp Team Up For 2-LB Notebook

Combining the exceptional performance and responsiveness of Transmeta’s Efficeon TM8600 processor with Sharp’s high-density technology, the Actius MM20 provides users with a high-performance and energy efficient notebook computer that enhances battery life while offering substantial computing power in a thin and light design. Because of the improvements that the Efficeon TM8600 processor provides, the Actius MM20 is able to process up to twice the number of instructions per clock cycle of the Actius MM10, enabling users to run applications faster. The Efficeon TM8600 processor also gives the Actius MM20 a substantial improvement in battery life. The notebook can operate up to three hours using the standard battery, and up to nine hours using the extended life battery option.

Sharp Announces Efficeon Based Notebook

Sharp Systems of America on Monday will introduce a new notebook to their Award-winning Actius notebook line. Following the success of the Actius MM10, Sharp is introducing the Actius MM20, hailing the introduction of Transmeta’s Efficeon processor to the U.S. market. The ultrathin, 2 pound Actius MM20 offers an array of upgrades and improvements from the previous Actius MM10, offering all-day computing capability, ideal for knowledge workers or students on their corporate or college campus.

Sharp Introduces New 19-Inch LCD Display

Sharp Systems of America, a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation, today announced a new addition to its LCD monitor line-up aimed at business and consumer users. The stylish 19-inch LL-191A LCD monitor is a bright SXGA (1,280 x 1,024 dots) LCD display that can achieve a high response time of 16ms, making the unit ideal for video and design applications. The monitor’s elegant look and narrow frame design requires less setup space, maximizing the users desktop space, while providing a generous amount of display space for computing applications.

Sharp Debuts New 17-Inch Desktop LCD’s

The full-featured 17-inch LCD monitors deliver professional performance at competitive prices, and provide users with cost flexibility for their features. The LL-T17D4 is a full-featured professionalmonitor, while the LL-171A brings a stylish new design to Sharp’s monitor family.
