Niveus Pushes Media Servers to 4 TB

Niveus Media has unveiled expanded versions of its Niveus Storage Server, with expanded capacity offering up to 4 TB of digital media storage. However, more interesting for folks deep into digital media is Niveus’ new Reflection technology, which can manage media across multiple media servers in remote locations, whether those are rooms at the other end of the house…or vacation homes at the other end of the world.

“With the release of Niveus Reflection Technology, our customers have an automated system for managing their data across multiple locations,” said Niveus CEO and co-founder Tim Cutting, in a statement. “Now, Niveus customers can enjoy one of the most advanced and mature personal storage server products available on the market.”

Niveus Media has announced it will be incorporating high-definition HD DVD technology into its line of Intel Viiv-driven Niveus Media Centers.

“While we may have additional announcements later this year regarding the Blu-Ray disc format, we are ready to announce that product development is well underway to deliver HD-DVD in the award-winning Niveus Media Center by mid-2006″ said Tim Cutting, Niveus’s founder and CEO.

Niveus Media Centers are full media center PCs designed to provide high-end audio and video quality and performance for true media buffs. Various models provide multiple television tuners, 192KHz/24-bit audio, HDTV capabilities, oodles of internal storage for movies, photos, recorded television, and more, sometimes with fanless operation.

Niveus Media Offers MCE 2005 Upgrade

All customers of the 2004 Niveus AVX Media Center will have several affordable options to upgrade their systems and protect their investment in silent computing. Additionally, Niveus Media is making available a complete upgrade package, including hardware, software, and labor, for customers to upgrade last year’s 2004 AVX Edition Media Center to this year’s 2005 Rainier Edition Media Center full specifications.
