Apple stops making AirPort base stations, exits Wi-Fi router business
Apple is officially leaving the Wi-Fi router business and will stop making the AirPort base stations. The company will continue to sell remaining inventory of AirPort Express, Extreme, and Time Capsule models. Unless you're sold on the Apple AirPort brand, you may want to check out a mesh router instead.
