Accessory and peripheral maker Turtle Beach has rolled out another entry in its line of gaming headphones in the form of the Ear Force X4 headset for the Xbox 360. Billing the cans as the most advanced wireless headphones ever build for console gaming, the X4s promise to bathe users in 5.1 Dolby surround sound while offering unique features like the ability to duck game sounds during chats.

“The addition of Dolby 5.1 channel surround sound in our new X4 expands the game action all around you,” said Turtle Beach marketing manager Mike Carducci, in a statement. “Unlike stereo headphones, you can hear every 3D sound cue as you communicate with teammates whose voices are inside your head.”

Turtle Beach Ships Wireless Xbox Headphones

Turtle Beach, a developer of audio peripherals for computers and video game systems, yesterday announced new wireless headphones geared towards Xbox and Xbox 360 users. The Ear Force X2 headphones are priced at $99.95 and should be available now.

The Ear Force X2, said Turtle Beach, integrates Xbox game audio and online chat wirelessly and is designed to complement the Xbox 360’s wireless controller. The headphones deliver all audio from both chat and gaming to both ears wirelessly at what the company says is the highest possible fidelity. The Ear Force X2 also features a durable microphone with an adjustable boom that can be moved to any preferred position for precise placement.

Turtle Beach Offers Up USB Audio Adapter

Turtle Beach, a maker of PC audio products, yesterday announced a new addition to their line of USB audio adapters designed for PC users. The new Audio Advantage Amigo is priced at $49.95 and available now.

The Audio Advantage Amigo, said Turtle Beach, is about the size of a USB memory stick and geared towards laptop users with an average sound system. It connects to a PC’s USB port provides simulated surround sound, a stereo headphone amplifier, digital audio output and a built-in microphone. It also comes with volume/mute control, an included headset with microphone and a suite of audio management/editor software.
