Creative Zen Touch 20GB MP3 Player

Like its predecessors, the Touch will be slightly larger and heavier than the Rio Karma, Apple iPod, or iRiver H120. It measures 4.12″ x 2.7″ x .866″ and weighs in at 7.05 ounces with the battery. Compared to the Zen Xtra, the Touch is a bit narrower and shorter, but just as thick. Creative is obviously hoping that the strong points of the player, e.g. sound quality, value, and battery life, will be enough to persuade potential customers.

One of Creative’s trademarks has always been sound quality. The Touch features the same 97dB SNR as its forebears, so you can rest assured that your MP3s (or WAVs) will sound as good as they can.

Creative Zen Xtra 30GB MP3 Player Review

Quote from the review at T-Break:

“Creative released their hard-disk based MP3 player called Jukebox quite a while before the i-Pod, however, Apple’s toy won the popularity contest. Not only did it look cooler, it had added functionally built to it in a smaller size and people didn’t mind paying more for it. Learning from this, Creative introduced their “Zen” series of Jukebox which had smaller size than the original Jukebox, packed a bigger storage drive and was cheaper in price. Today, we take a look at one of the newest member of the Zen series- the Zen Xtra which, amongst other things, adds a higher-resolution LCD display to its list of features.”
