If Microsoft focuses on touchscreen technology for the PC, it will show how seriously lost they are. HP is toying with the technology and to be honest, people just don't want it. That's why the Tablet PC is not catching on.

I always got a kick out of when Bill Gates would say in interviews that he was not happy with a particular Microsoft product. Sometimes he would not sugar-coat it. Ballmer would never admit to mistakes, his ego gets in the way too much.

Would like to have seen your thoughts on Ballmer and where you think he will take the company. So far I am not very impressed with his leadership. He seems to get very emotional, and once that happens, makes poor decisions.

I heard a story from a Microsoft employee on how he once threw a chair out a window when yelling at an employee that announced he was leaving for Google.

Windows continues to be a nightmare for Microsoft. Vista has too many problems, and by the sounds of things, will have a very short life as the next iteration of their OS is supposed to be out late '09 or 2010. Many companies are skipping Vista altogether and will wait before updating their systems. This is a lot of potential revenue they will be missing out on.

One of the gadget blogs last week posted saying that Microsoft might open up their architecture and let other companies (like Samsung) manufacturer their own Xbox consoles. This would be a great idea, as Microsoft only really cares about their game royalties, and their Live revenue. Emulating a model like they have in the PC market could put them way out ahead of Sony and Nintendo.

The Zune is dead - they need to bury it. Apple has won.
