I have had the Shift for 2 weeks now.
I love it.
Criticisms:
1) Calendar in SnapVue is painfully slow...to the point that I stopped using that part...needs ROM update I guess?
2) SD card is not accessible from SnapVue - if you check email in SnapVue....you cannot view attachments (which is OK)...but there should be some way to save/transfer files between SnapVue & Vista...would love a solution.
Otherwise great machine...very handy.

Here is the Cnet review: http://reviews.cnet.com/pdas/htc-shift/4505-3127_7...

Looks like they complained about the same things you did Rob. The keyboard is too small, battery life could be better, and its spendy.

I like the concept of the Shift a lot. The problem I see here is distribution. A lot of HTC's products get branded as house brands for the major wireless carriers. How are they going to brand this system and sell it? they would have to partner up with someone like Dell/Gateway etc to get it out into the retail channels.

I thought this looked like an interesting product. It kinda reminds me of those slim Compaq laptops where the screen slide up into a Desktop position. What are the specs of this system? Would love to know the hard drive size etc.
