I love it.
Criticisms:

The problem I see here is distribution. A lot of HTC's products get branded as house brands for the major wireless carriers. How are they going to brand this system and sell it? they would have to partner up with someone like Dell/Gateway etc to get it out into the retail channels. I like the concept of the Shift a lot.
