Note to Intel: Follow the market or die.
Note to AMD: Want a chance to own or better a market? Get off the soap box and get a bloody netbook oriented CPU on the market.
Note to VIA or any other capable CPU manufacturer: Time to improve your market share.

I want this little box badly...my desktop spends most of its days off but sometimes a 22in monitor is nice to work on.

There is that but the margins are actually better in a product like this because the BOM (Bill of Materials) is typically lower than other products in the price range.

But I'm not sure they really have the choice, the market isn't buying premium products at the moment.

I love the new Acer Aspire Revo system and think it's a great idea.

I wonder if consumers are simply too confused right now? Maybe there are too many choices and that is causing people to expect an all-powerful, yet affordable system?

It used to be that on one end, you had bulky and powerful, and the other end had small and weak. With too many options it's blurring the lines and causing people to expect too much.

Another problem I see if the market pricing itself into extinction. I think it's great to see affordable prices, but with margins so low I don't see how some of these companies will stay in business.
